Location: Upstate New York Near Buffalo

Our facility is committed to providing exceptional patient care, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practitioner Nights Hospitalist (Nocturnist) to join our dedicated team.
Position Overview:
As an Advanced Practitioner Nights Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, comprehensive care to our diverse patient population during overnight shifts. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and has an open ICU, allowing you to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage and treat a wide range of medical conditions. Hospitalist daily patient load ranges from 16-20.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical care to hospitalized patients during night shifts.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and formulate treatment plans.
- Oversee and coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Manage and respond to medical emergencies, working collaboratively with the code response team.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage complex cases in the open ICU setting.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
- Board certification in specialty (FNP, ACNP, AGACNP, PA-C, or equivalent).
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Previous experience in hospitalist or critical care settings preferred.
-NP's and PA's who have just finished their academic training or are about to are encouraged to apply though at least one year expereince is preferred.
Working Hours
2 PTO weeks on top of 26 week off schedule.
Skills
Patient census fluctuates from 15-20 patients a day, with a very few, 2-4 in the open ICU.
In cases where patients present with severe or complex medical conditions beyond the scope of our facility's resources, we facilitate the seamless transfer of these individuals to specialized medical centers equipped to provide the necessary advanced care and interventions.
