This is where the Footprints team comes in. Footprints is dedicated to comfort, advocacy and support of children with complex medical issues and their families. The care coordination provided by Footprints addresses not only the child s physical needs, but the emotional, spiritual and psychosocial needs of the entire family.
The Footprints team interfaces with several of our specialty areas, including the St. Louis Fetal Care Institute and The Costas Center, to provide comprehensive wraparound services that involve everyone relevant to the care of the child, making sure that the family s wishes are honored. In addition to assistance with care plans, advance directives and care coordination, families benefit from a personal relationship with a clinical professional dedicated to their child s well-being and quality of life.
