Bon Secours Mercy Health is looking to hire a Nurse Practitioner for Bon Secours Pediatric Palliative & Hospice Care. This is a full-time opportunity for the ideal candidate trained in Palliative and hospice care. Noah’s Children is a palliative and hospice program whose mission aligns directly with the mission of Bon Secours Mercy Health. It is a pediatric palliative care program that focuses on improving the health and quality of life of children with life-limiting and life-threatening medical conditions primarily in their homes, but also those who are admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital and provides this care throughout their journey. The ideal candidate must be an experienced NP with an active Virginia license.

Job Details:

· Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm

· Call Schedule: Every 3rd weekend 5pm to 8am

· Hospital Credentialing: St. Mary’s Hospital

· Average Patients per day: 45 -50 active admitted patients for the program; patients per day vary.

· Patient Age Range: Perinatal to 18 years old.

· Special Skills Training Required: master’s degree in nursing. Minimum of 3 years’ experience. Strong background in pediatrics with critical care nursing. N.P. preferred. Experience in peds and hospice care for complex case management. A National Hospice & Palliative care certificate is desired.

· EMR – EPIC

· Practice Support in place with – Practice manager and RN support

· Mentorship Available

· Ancillary Services to include: 2 LCSW, 1 bereavement counselor, music therapist, community liaison, and Chaplin.
