ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Cancer Care- Edgecombe, located in Tarboro, North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their established oncology practice. The successful candidate will provide care with an accredited American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer Community Cancer Program.
Applicants with oncology experience are preferred. New graduates can apply.
Highlights include:
· Employment by ECU Health Physicians
· Outpatient only clinical care
· Inpatient support provided by nearby ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital
· Established practice inclusive of experienced nurses, navigators, and hematology oncologist
· Monday-Friday schedule (Monday-Thursday 8a-5p, Friday 8a-12p)
· Outpatient clinical responsibilities will include treating and assessing established hematology oncology patients, consult with attending, chemotherapy oversight, completing survivorship plans, providing symptom management, managing prescription refills for returning patients
· Average patient volume: 12-15 patients per day
· Applicants with bone marrow biopsy skillset are preferred, practice will train if needed
· The ECU Health Cancer Care-Edgecombe facility includes a healing garden, 8 infusion chairs, 2 private infusion areas, patient image renewal areas, and community outreach spaces
· Affiliation with the ECU Health Cancer Center team in Greenville, NC with access to multidisciplinary oncology teams for diagnosing late-stage cancers including support from disease focused medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgical oncologists
· Close collaboration with the ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic which offers a full range of healthcare services which include primary & preventative care, immediate care, specialty care, Lab, X-ray, Digital radiology and bone densitometry, IAC accredited ECHO lab, and AASM accredited sleep lab
· System-wide integrated EMR – EPIC
· Applicants will be required to have BLS certification from The American Heart Association
