Southwest Cancer Care is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our quality patient care driven facility in Sierra Vista, Southern Arizona. We are nestled in a beautiful community that gives you the opportunity to explore the great outdoors. As part of the high-desert, southern Arizona boasts the perfect balance of temperate weather, quality lifestyle, and affordability. Most homes are minutes from mountain trails and the city center, making in-town errands quick and end-of-the-day nature excursions equally easy.

Join an independent practice fully owned by its physicians that not only strives to, but actually offers exceptional care by focusing on patient needs and incorporating world-class medical technology even outside big fancy institutions. Our strong reputation within this community has been built on our foundation of providing quality care and building a strong therapeutic alliance with our patients. Ample time is provided for office visits to accomplish this. We believe that the time spent with patients is essential for both: patient and provider satisfaction.

The primary focus of the Hematologist/Medical Oncology NP/PA is to provide high quality outpatient care. The scope of practice will include general adult oncology as well as benign and malignant hematology. We utilize iKnowMed Generation 2 for our EMR which has been rated the very top EMR for outpatient medical oncology for nine years in a row and there is full access to UpToDate for reference.

NP/PA will join a team of two additional Board-Certified Hematologist/Medical Oncologist, one Board-Certified Internal Medicine/Palliative Care Specialist, one Radiation Oncologist and two experienced APPs (Nurse Practitioners). There is a large, diverse support staff of RNs, LPNs, nurse navigators, schedulers, pre-certification, and financial team. We strive to make the patients’ experience seamless and support the physicians and NPs to avoid unnecessary paperwork. The Practice includes a full-service infusion center which currently has four infusion nurses and two patient care technicians. We have on-site phlebotomy so that the appropriate labs can be drawn without confusion. We have experienced a robust amount of growth since 2019 since we first opened and we are continuing to expand our services. We will discuss this thoroughly in our meeting with the ideal candidates. We are grateful for the strong community support from Primary Care Providers and the regional specialists. Our collaborative colleagues include general and specialty surgeons, Rad-Onc, IR, pathologists, and naturopathic physicians as well. This is a community in which you can make a compete difference; the patients and families are gracious for the local care.
