Job Responsibilities
• The Contractor shall provide Hematology/Oncology Specialized Advanced Practice Provider services via telehealth in accordance with the specifications contained herein to Client
• Role: Board Certified /Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology Advanced Practice Provider(s)
• Place of Performance: Contractor shall furnish services virtually via telehealth
• License: The Contractor's staff(s) assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall have a current license to practice medicine or nursing
• Documentation verifying current certification shall be provided by the Contractor on an annual basis for each year of contract performance
• DEA: Contractor shall provide copy of current DEA certificate
• Patients must be seen via telehealth in a timely manner in accordance with Client Rules and Regulations on clinic wait times and consult completion
• Provide care via telehealth modalities: The Tele Oncology Nurse Practitioner (TONP) delivers health care across the continuum of care within the service, is responsible for care coordination and quality of care, and has a specific focus on the population for "time to treatment” related to Cancer Screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up surveillance
• This includes relatively independent functioning and ongoing collaboration with attending physicians, peers, and other healthcare team members
• The Contractor's staff shall see approximately six (6) patients per day via phone, Clinical Video telehealth (CVT), or Client Video Connect (VVC)
• Oncology Expertise: The TONP's role as an advanced practitioner is characterized by the autonomy of hematology and oncology practice, in-depth nursing knowledge, and evidence-based expertise
• Core clinical functions include performing history and physical examinations, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic health care problems, ordering appropriate testing and consults, performing adult care check-ups, prescribing medication, and treatments, and teaching patients' health promotion and disease prevention
• The Contractor's staff shall demonstrate this in the clinical notes and peer observation

Qualifications/License:
• License: Shall have a current license to practice medicine or nursing (as applicable) in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia) when services are performed via telehealth.
• All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses.
• Board Certification: All Contractor’s Advanced Practice Providers(s) must be board certified.
• Must be board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Certifications | ANA (nursingworld.org) with preferred certification as Advanced Oncology Certified Practitioner (AOCNP) from Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Oncology Nursing Society OR Must be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Certifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalency.
