As a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner You Will:

  • Act as a primary care provider for elderly participants in community and nursing home settings.
  • Provide routine, episodic, and urgent care.
  • Collaborate with the primary care physician to perform semiannual assessments and examinations.
  • Develop and implement care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Communicate with consultants and integrate their recommendations into care plans.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and health center policy.
  • Provide education and support to nursing staff.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintain appropriate medical records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare guidelines and maintain appropriate licensure.

Qualifications We're Looking For:

  • Advanced practice nurse with MSN degree and board certification.
  • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts.
  • At least four years of experience working as a nurse practitioner, at least one year of experience working with the geriatric population.
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Comfort working in a multicultural healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge and comfort working in a managed care setting.
