OPEN POSITION:
Nurse Practitioner - Gastroenterology



SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- 40 Hours per Week
- No On-Call
- No Nights
- No Weekends


OFFICE HOURS:
- Monday, 8:00am to 8:00pm
- Tuesday to Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm
- Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Closed Weekends + Holidays


COMPENSATION:
- $130,000 to $150,000 Base Salary, dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner provides medical services in collaboration with GI physicians. The NP will systematically compare and contrast clinical diagnostic findings with normal and abnormal variations in making differential diagnoses.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

- conduct gastroenterology assessments of patients, documenting pertinent findings
- initiate, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- utilize evidence-based care practices to meet the needs of complex patients
- evaluate diagnoses and effectiveness of interventions to achieve expected outcomes
- prescribe treatments, therapy procedures, and medications as needed
- consider patients’ comprehensive health needs with integrated delivery of patient care
- collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care for patients
- participate in staff educational programs and meetings

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon types of appointments scheduled.

All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.

The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.

This position has no weekends, no evenings, and no on-call.


REQUIREMENTS:
- New York NP license
- DEA
- 1+ year of gastroenterology experience
