Gastroenterology NP or PA for Outpatient/Clinic

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient clinic team. This Locum Tenens position is available immediately and will run through September 1, 2025. Local candidates preferred.

Requirements:

• Active CT license (preferred)
• Board Certified (ANCC/AANP/NCCPA)
• BLS and DEA certifications
• Minimum of 1 year experience working as an APRN in an outpatient setting
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Scope of Work:

• Manage in-basket messages and patient calls
• Interpret test results and implement care plans
• Conduct general GI patient visits
• Perform history and physical examinations for colon patients, follow-ups, and new patient consultations
• Handle a patient load of 10 patients per day
• Collaborate with support staff including Medical Assistants (MA), Registered Nurses (RN), and Schedulers
• No pediatric patients
