- Other Details: A Family Practice Nurse Practitioner is needed to start as soon as credentialed for a 3-month contract with the possibility to extend, working full-time Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (40 hours per week) in an outpatient community health center. The provider will work with support staff including a dedicated medical assistant, receptionists, and onsite health services, seeing up to 16 patients per day ranging from newborns to geriatrics. Experience in community health settings, particularly with vulnerable populations, is preferred. Basic procedures such as injections, IUD placements, and minor wound care are required. Candidates must be board certified, have an active WA license and WA DEA, a clean background, at least 2 years of FNP experience, and recent face-to-face patient care within the last year. Charting time is unpaid, overtime requires prior approval, and there is a 1-week orientation with patient care starting by day 3. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform basic procedures such as injections, IUD placements, and minor wound care
- Manage chronic disease, acute care, and walk-in patient visits
- Complete patient charting (note: charting time is unpaid)
- Attend onsite orientation and begin patient care by day 3
Qualifications
- Active Washington State (WA) medical license required (non-licensed candidates will not be considered)
- Active WA DEA registration required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Face-to-face patient care experience within the past year
- Clean background with no malpractice history
- Willingness to obtain any additional required certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS) if needed
Working Hours
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour workday with 1-hour unpaid lunch
- No call
- Overtime only approved if exceeding daily productivity expectations; otherwise, no OT approved
Skills
- Ability to work with vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees
- Experience or strong interest in community health center settings
- Basic procedural skills (injections, IUD placement, minor wound care)
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required
