Job Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including health histories and physical exams.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, imaging).
• Prescribe medications and therapies within evidence-based guidelines.
• Provide emergency interventions and coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Lead nursing staff in clinical practice, research, and quality assurance projects.
• Develop and deliver educational programs for patients and healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with ethical/legal standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and specialists to optimize care coordination.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP required).
Licensure: Active Indiana Nurse Practitioner (NP) license; Valid DEA and Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR); Current CPR certification
Experience: 2+ years of clinical experience in hospital or acute care settings (preferred)
Technical Skills: Diagnostic testing interpretation and prescription authority; Electronic Medical Records (EMR) proficiency; Emergency response and care plan development
Soft Skills: Leadership in guiding nursing teams and interdisciplinary collaboration; Strong decision-making and crisis management abilities
