SSM Health Dean Medical Group, a 500+ physician multi-specialty group headquartered in Madison, WI, is actively recruiting for a full-time (0.8-1.0 FTE) Advanced Practitioner (NP/PA) for an opportunity in weight management and obesity medicine to join our Weight Management Department at our Madison East Clinic.

Job Highlights:

  • 100% Outpatient position with no call or weekends
  • Partially remote/on-site opportunity; potential exists for full-time remote work
  • Responsibilities include new patient consults, medical management and follow-up patient visits
  • Schedule is Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm
  • Anticipated clinic volume of 10 patients per day
  • Department receives multiple patient referrals daily
  • Work closely with two bariatric surgeons, two family physicians specializing in bariatrics, as well as experienced dieticians, therapist and nursing staff

Requirements:

  • Wisconsin registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse prescriber license or Wisconsin licensed physician assistant
  • Unrestricted Active Wisconsin DEA (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Previous experience in family medicine or obesity medicine preferred
  • Become certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine; can pursue once hired
