Nurse Practitioner – Women’s Health at South Providence Clinic

The University of Missouri Department of Family & Community Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the collaboration of practice physicians. This position will be part of a dynamic team working together to deliver exceptional care. This position will see Family Medicine patients for ongoing women’s health care conditions, preventative care, and acute care needs.

The position is comprised of the following duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and demonstrate high level of autonomy and expert skill in the diagnosis and treatment of actual and potential health problems.
  • Perform patient histories and physicals exams; orders/performs diagnostic procedures; monitors patient condition, lab values and results of diagnostic procedures, and develop treatment goals.
  • Collaborates with collaborative MD in difficult or complicated cases and as an agreed upon in collaborative agreement.
  • Act as a resource for patients, families, nursing staff and other health care professionals in area of expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing is required. Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master's program or a certificate program. Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing.
