Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with an MD/DO in leading the Care Team in medical decision-making
  • Provide full-scope primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care
  • Perform HPI, physical exams, minor surgical procedures, and prescribe medications per state and professional guidelines
  • Generate referrals for specialty care as needed
  • Evaluate incoming reports, labs, diagnostic imaging, and direct timely follow-up
  • Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation
  • Participate in quality assurance programs, peer reviews, and provider meetings
  • Adhere to productivity and scheduling guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and all applicable regulations
  • Stay updated on evidence-based primary care through continuing medical education (CME)

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York
  • Current DEA certification
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified (must obtain certification within 18 months of hire if eligible)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred
