Family Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Family Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a short-term assignment in a clinic setting. This position offers housing, no on-call duties, and a collaborative work environment with strong support staff.

Schedule & Availability Requirements

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Start Date: ASAP, upon completion of credentialing (approximately 60 days)
  • Duration: 13 weeks

Location

  • Setting: Outpatient clinic
  • Facility Location: Lisbon, ND
  • Housing Provided: Furnished housing will be arranged and provided.

Position Details

  • Duties: Family Medicine clinic visits, managing a variety of primary care needs for patients
  • Patient Volume: 6–15 patients per day
  • Procedures: No required procedures
  • Support Staff: Nursing, reception, and clinic manager available on-site
  • EMR: Allscripts

Credentialing Information

  • Credentialing timeframe: ~60 days
  • No additional credentialing with other facilities required.

Travel Preferences

  • Air Travel: Local candidates are preferred
  • Dietary Restrictions or Lodging Exceptions: Please indicate any specific requirements during the application process to ensure proper accommodations.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active North Dakota license as a PA or NP
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferred but not required
  • Experience: Previous Family Medicine or primary care experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clean malpractice history
  • Availability at the time of name clearance
