Job Title: Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) Provider – PRN Basis

Locations Available:

  • VES Facility: Marion, VA – 1 half-day per week required.
  • Provider’s Own Office (Required):
    • Coeburn, VA – 2 shifts per week.
    • Covington, VA – 10 shifts per week (multiple openings).
    • Hillsville, VA – 2 shifts per week.
    • Woodstock, VA – 2 shifts per week.

Job Type: PRN (As Needed, Ongoing)

Job Overview:
Seeking qualified healthcare providers to perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments for Veterans. Providers will work on a PRN basis, delivering high-quality evaluations either within their own practice or at designated facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-time, interview-based evaluations with limited physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Utilize a Goniometer for musculoskeletal assessments.
  • Perform METs testing and evaluate respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Complete standardized Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) for each evaluation within 48 hours (no narrative report).
  • Review records and complete follow-up administrative work as required, including addendums and medical opinions.
  • Submit reports through the secure provider portal.

Coverage Options:

  1. Travel to VES-Leased Facilities.

Scheduling Options:

  • Flexible half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts based on location needs.

Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
  • Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Proficient in METs testing and Goniometer use.
  • Ability to obtain DMA certification (training provided; CME credits available).
  • Own a personal Windows laptop (no Mac devices).
  • Record review experience preferred.

  • Training provided for Reporting/DBQs and the provider portal.
  • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities.
