Location: Oak Harbor & Coupeville, WA
Position: Full-Time (Independent Acute and Routine Care)
Setting: Outpatient Family Practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent acute and routine medical care to a diverse family practice outpatient population.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in patients of all ages.
- Prescribe medications and therapies based on patient needs.
- Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the facility’s EMR system.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
• For Nurse Practitioners:
• Valid RN license allowing practice in Washington State.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a nationally recognized NP certification program approved by the Washington State Nursing Commission.
• For Physician Assistants:
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program from one of the following organizations:
• Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
• Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
• Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA)
• National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Skills & Experience:
• Experience in Family Practice: Previous experience in an outpatient family practice setting is preferred but not required.
• Clinical Competence: Ability to independently assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a family practice environment.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Patient-Centered Care: Commitment to delivering compassionate and effective care tailored to the needs of patients
