Job Title: General Medicine Nurse Practitioner – PRN Basis

Location:

  • Marco Island, FL (1 day per week required)
  • Provider’s Own Office (office location required)

Job Overview:
Our client seeks qualified healthcare providers to perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments for U.S. Veterans. This is a unique opportunity to work on a flexible schedule while contributing to the well-being of those who have served our country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-time, interview-based evaluations with limited physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Utilize a Goniometer for musculoskeletal assessments.
  • Complete standardized Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) for each evaluation within 48 hours.
  • Perform METs testing and assess respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Review records and provide follow-up administrative work as needed (e.g., addendums, medical opinions).
  • Submit all reports via the secure provider portal.
  • Maintain compliance with protocols and guidelines.

Coverage Options:

Scheduling Details:

  • Work ½ days (4-hour shifts) or full days (8-hour shifts).
  • PRN schedule based on Veteran appointment needs.

Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
  • Experience in musculoskeletal, diabetes, cardiovascular, and neurological evaluations.
  • Proficient in METs testing and using a Goniometer.
  • Familiarity with completing standardized forms (DBQs).
  • Own a personal laptop (Windows only; no Mac devices).
  • Ability to obtain DMA certification (training provided, CME credits available).
  • Local candidates only (travel included in rates).
