The Department of Community Practice at MU Capital Region Medical Center is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Owensville, Missouri.

Position Highlights:

  • Collaborative and team-oriented environment within an established family medicine practice
  • High patient volume in a well-established rural setting
  • Access to a network of over 160 multi-specialty providers within the Department of Community Practice and referral pathways to University of Missouri Healthcare specialists
  • On-site X-ray facilities

Physician's Assistant Qualifications

  • Physicians Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.
  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA) certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required. Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master's program or a certificate program. Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing.
  • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

MU Capital Region Medical Center’s Department of Community Practice is a full-service health care network, including an acute care hospital, a comprehensive clinic system, the Goldschmidt Cancer Center, a hospital-based fitness facility, home health services, and the community’s only inpatient rehabilitation center. Our hospital features 100 acute care beds and 14 rehabilitation beds, with referrals from over 140 employed providers across 36 clinics in an 8-county service area, serving approximately 225,000 residents.
