IU Health Physicians is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at IU Health Family Medicine Eagle Highlands in Indianapolis!

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Days
  • No weekends, holidays, or call, allowing for work/life balance
  • Varied Schedule, 32.4 Patient Accepting Hours/Week; Typically 4 full days, 1 day out of office
  • 100% outpatient
  • Expected patient volume is 70/week, adult and pediatric
  • Team includes 6 physicians and 1 advanced practice providers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
  • Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
  • Develops treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
  • Orders and adjusts medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
  • Directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards for nursing practice.
  • Serves as a clinical resource for the nursing staff, physicians, hospital, and other healthcare providers.
  • Serves as an advocate for patients, staff, and management.
  • Assist in the assessment of the clinicals nurse's performance and validates clinical competencies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan.
  • Provide prompt and professional medical attention to patients without regard to race, creed, color, gender, national or ethnic origin, age, or disability.
  • Manage acute and long term care of the patient.
  • Maintains documentation in accordance with IU Health and IU Health Physicians policies, standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Expands and maintains professional knowledge through continuing medical education.
  • Completes all competencies as required by IU Health.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • FNP or PA certification required
  • Open to new graduates
