GardaWorld Federal Services (GWFS) will be supporting the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to reduce staffing shortages across the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in order to increase access to care for Veterans. This includes on demand clinical and non-clinical services, to fill emergent staffing needs. The VHA predicts an annual need at medical facilities and community-based outpatient clinics, domiciliary (home) care, nursing homes and other sites of care.

We're looking for a medical professional who studies, diagnoses, and treats illness, injuries, and other ailments. They have knowledge of medical ethics, human anatomy, pharmacology, and other specialties depending on their field. Physicians provide preventative care, detect developing health problems, and give advice to help patients develop healthy habits. Physicians are also known as doctors or medical practitioners.

Job Responsibilities

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILTIES:



Must comply with all California State requirements including those applying to Title 22, and The Joint Commission.
Incumbents will be expected to maintain complete and appropriate medical records and documentation on all services that they deliver.
Will be proficient at EKG interpretation, IV line insertion, oxygen therapy, PALS, and ACLS.
Must comply with the K'ima:w Medical Center Medical Staff Bylaws.
The Family Nurse Practitioner will be expected to participate in all Medical Staff Meetings, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings, and Quality Assurance Committees as requested.
Participates in peer review activities as necessary.
Appropriately manages primary care pediatric, adult, and elder health care. And appropriately refers when necessary.
Coordinates other specialty services for patients as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



Must be a Masters Degree Family Nurse Practitioner.



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:



Must have a current unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner License from any of the 50 states. California license is preferred.
Must have current ACLS Certification.
Must have current PALS Certification.
Must have a Furnishing Number within three months of hire for prescription processing.
