Responsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner (NP):
- Patient Care: Provide medical care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients, performing well-care exams, physical exams, and developing treatment plans based on diagnostic data.
- Treatment: Take patient histories, make diagnoses, and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and providing health education.
- Documentation: Complete patient forms, track referrals, and ensure proper documentation and patient follow-up.
- Health Education: Promote health maintenance, disease prevention, and provide patient education on chronic diseases, family planning, prenatal care, and nutrition.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, participate in case conferences, and assist in developing medical protocols.
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
- Licensure: Unrestricted New York State Nurse Practitioner license required.
- Experience: 2+ years of Clinical experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in word processing and computer applications.
- Language Skills: Spanish-speaking or other language proficiency preferred.
