Locum opportunity for an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner to provide full-time, primary care services to the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections in Oregon, WI located just South of Madison.

This is a 13-week assignment with option to extend. Facility is typically interested in candidates interested in long-term contracts (26+ weeks). Start date is upon credential approval, usually takes 2-3 weeks.

Clinic hours are Mondays to Fridays, days. There are no on-call requirements or weekend/holiday shifts.

Nurse Practitioner must possess 1 full year of NP experience providing primary care services. Must possess a Wisconsin state license. Must be able to function independently in managing the direct and indirect care of incarcerated individuals in collaboration with all disciplines employed or practicing at the institutional Health Services Unit. The nurse practitioner will educate the inmates to promote wellness, prevent health problems, maintain current health, and intervene in acute and chronic illness.

Qualified candidates will possess a current and clear license to practice as an NP in the state of Wisconsin. Current DEA, BLS and clean background.
