Client seeking Nurse Practitioner for contract assignment in Jersey City, NJ from October 7 - November 8. Hours are Tuesday/Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm with a 30-minute break. Provider will see adults for acute care. Duties will include:
- COVID testing (Rapid/PCR)
- Strep Throat, Influenza or Mono POCT testing
- Splinter removal
- Urinalysis/HCG testing and analysis
- Knowledge of performing phlebotomy (MA on staff can perform phlebotomy, but may need to handle if she is not available)
- Administering nebulizer
- Reading EKGs
- Cerumen impaction removal
- Eye care (eye wash available in office for foreign body)
- STD testing
- Referrals to appropriate physicians for preventative care
- Wound care (minor burns, cuts, blisters)
- Evaluating acute musculoskeletal injuries and splinting minor injuries (wrist, fingers)
- Administering vaccinations (TDAP, travel vaccines upon request)/allergy shots (working collaboratively with patient's allergist)
- Educating patients regarding aftercare
