POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new Nurse Practitioner (NP) will see a variable number of patients per day, depending upon types of appointments scheduled, and will be supported by a dedicated clinical assistant. The NP will collaborate with a supervising physician as needed.

The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- physical examinations and patient assessments
- obtain medical histories
- manage a range of patient health and wellness issues
- coordinate care
- provide preventive health services
- order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as needed
- prescribe medications as needed
- review lab results and propose plans of action according to results
- counsel and educate patients and families
- assist in overall patient quality management

The practice uses the MDLand EHR.


REQUIREMENTS:
- New York NP license
- prescriptive authority
- must be fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin
- some experience preferred
- new graduates will be considered on an individual basis
