Join our client’s healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Bronx! The Nurse Practitioner provides coordinated, comprehensive, and continuous primary medical services to patients under the direction of the Vice President, Medical Affairs/Medical Director.
Compensation: $123,000 – $127,000/year
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Join our client’s healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Bronx! The Nurse Practitioner provides coordinated, comprehensive, and continuous primary medical services to patients under the direction of the Vice President, Medical Affairs/Medical Director.

Responsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner:
- Patient History & Evaluation: Obtain and review patient medical and psychosocial histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
- Screening Procedures: Conduct screenings including Pap smears, GC cultures, Chlamydia tests, and Wet preps.
- Confidential Services: Facilitate related services for patients while ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
- Routine Exams: Perform routine interim physical examinations based on specific risks.
- Medication & Treatment: Evaluate patients, prescribe medications, treatments, and make referrals according to policies and current standards of care.
- Continuous Care: Provide continuous care and manage common clinical problems encountered in primary care settings.
- Patient Education: Participate in patient education and counseling on family planning, STD/HIV, preventive health, and nutrition.
- Lab Data Interpretation: Interpret laboratory data, review lab reports, and order additional tests or follow-ups as indicated.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (preferably in a family practice clinic setting).
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate easily with individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and religious backgrounds.
