Job Description
- The Contractor APP shall provide Urgent Care NP services at the Acoma Canoncito Laguna Indian Health Center in Acoma , NM. The ACLIHC Urgent Care is located in the Primary Care Clinic, and it primarily serves the ambulatory needs of the Acoma Pueblo Tribal members.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid). Urgent Care duties. Any state license: BLS/ACLS/DEA required.
Location: Acoma , NM. 60 mins drive West from Albuquerque, 25 min drive East from Grants, NM.
- Payment starts at $100 with Travel, Lodging and Rental Car, malpractice insurance. Payment is 1099 bi-monthly, direct deposit. Higher payment based on experience.
- 8-hour shifts, Mo-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. 30 min lunch (unpaid time)
- BLS, ACLS, DEA required
- Fast Track/Urgent Care setting, patients come in for: sniffles, sprains, pink eyes, UTIs, etc.
- Need minimum of 13 weeks assignment to provide travel coverage. Local candidates are welcome to apply.
- Admin Orientation 2 days plus 2-3 shifts of clinical Orientation.
- Scheduling month or two in advance

Job Responsibilities
the following:
● Interview and examine patients, review past medical history and request
and/or perform diagnostic tests and examinations as necessary to make
diagnosis for primary care services.
● Counsel and educate patients, families, community, and medical staff
about health care.
● Prescribe drugs and tests necessary to provide quality health care
including the use of radiology and laboratory services.
● Become familiar with and be guided by the Indian Health Service
formulary and shall follow IHS procedures when prescribing drugs.
● Participate in a continual process of quality of health care evaluation
to assure the provision of quality services.
● Strive for excellence in providing general family medicine medical services.
● Comply with all IHS facility infection control and safety procedures,
practices, and standards.
● Respect and maintain the basic rights of patients, to include but not limited to
personal dignity.
● Referrals shall be done utilizing the Patient Referred Care (PRC) process.
The PRC Committee, utilizing PRC guidelines, will review these referrals.

● Possess a current, unrestricted state medical license from any of the 50
states or Puerto Rico
● Maintain updated continuing education certificates.
● Current BLS/ACLS/PALS/DEA
● Preferred 5 years of experience, we can discuss on a case-by-case
basis, 1 year is acceptable.
