Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and versatile Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team as a Hospital Float. This position involves a dynamic mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, providing high-quality care to adult patients. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, skilled in both hospital and clinic settings, and committed to delivering comprehensive medical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hospital rounds, managing the care of adult patients in an inpatient setting.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Provide follow-up care and continuity of care for discharged patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in NJ.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a wide range of adult medical conditions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Please note- The annual base salary range is $130k to $175k, along with a bonus and equity ownership. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
