Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Practice Nurse Practitioner to join our Community Health Center team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including migrants and refugees, in an outpatient ambulatory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics.
- Manage a patient load of up to 18 patients per day in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform basic procedures such as injections, IUD placements, and minor wound care.
- Collaborate with a dedicated medical assistant, receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians, and onsite pediatricians.
- Utilize the Epic EMR system for patient documentation and management.
- Participate in community health initiatives and provide care to vulnerable populations.
- Engage in a 1-week onsite orientation, with an expectation to begin patient care by day 3.
Schedule:
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (40 hours/week), with a 1-hour unpaid lunch.
- Optional: Saturday hours available for overtime rate.
Work Environment:
- Setting: Outpatient ambulatory setting
- Support Staff: Includes a dedicated medical assistant, receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians, and most clinics have an onsite pediatrician and local healthcare administrator.
- Patient Population: Newborns to geriatrics, including migrants and refugees.
- Special Services: Interpretation services available on-site.
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Required.
- License: Active Washington (WA) license required. Will not consider non-licensed candidates.
- DEA: Active Washington (WA) DEA required.
- Certifications: Will be discussed at the time of credentialing. Provider will be responsible for obtaining any required certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an FNP with face-to-face patient contact within the past year. Must have a clean background with no malpractice.
- Skills: Must be able to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time.
