Seeking Transplant/Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for Locums Coverage in Philly!

Shift Schedule: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (7 AM - 5:30 PM)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Transplant/Surgery team at a prestigious hospital in Philadelphia. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients in a leading healthcare facility.

Working in Philadelphia offers a range of benefits. As a locum provider, you will have the flexibility to explore different work environments and gain diverse experience without a long-term commitment.

Philadelphia is rich in history and culture, offering vibrant arts scenes, world-class dining, and numerous historical sites. Additionally, the cost of living in Philadelphia is relatively lower compared to other major cities, making it an attractive place to live and work.

This role provides an opportunity to work in a top-tier hospital known for excellence in patient care and be part of a dedicated and supportive healthcare team while gaining exposure to ICU settings without the responsibility of independent patient management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing central line and drain removal, writing notes, placing orders, and handling consults, discharges, and admissions. You will collaborate with physicians, residents, and other Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), providing acute care support and managing patient care in a Level 1 Trauma center.

Qualifications include:

  • ACNP certification required for acute care.
  • Transplant and/or Surgical experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong ICU management skills are needed; however, ICU experience is not essential as the APP will not manage patients independently.
  • Active PA licensure is required

Facility Details:

  • Patient volume of 2-5 per shift.
  • The EMR system used is Cerner.
  • Temp/Emergency privileges are available

Shift and Schedule:

  • The position offers a schedule of 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts from 7 AM to 5:30 PM. For the first month, there are no weekends or holidays. After that, one weekend a month is required. Typically, the role involves less than 40 hours a week, but there may be a need for 40 hours occasionally during the summer for vacation coverage.
