FNP needed in TX- Prefer experience treating those with mental health and/or developmental disabilities.

  • See approximately 5-15 patients per day for acute illness, injury or follow-up.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the medical care of the patients on a unit ranging from 30-75 Patients on the unit at a time.
• See approximately 5-15 patients per day for acute illness, injury or follow-up.
• Available for new admissions which have to be completed within 24 hours of admission
• Perform clinics in the morning
• This is with Psych Patients in a state hospital. They will be doing primary care for Psych patients but must be comfortable with Psych patients who have been admitted.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• The Family Practice Nurse Practitioner (RN, FNP-BC) is credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) and authorized to practice as an advance practice registered nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• All Practitioners must have a current, unrestricted license in Texas to practice in their respective profession.
