The Opportunity:

An established and growing Functional Medicine Practice (based in Richmond, VA) has a need for a full-time Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner, who has a demonstrated interest in developing a professional practice in the integrative and functional medicine space.

About Integrative/Functional Medicine:

We ask why patients exhibit certain symptoms and diagnosis, not just “what”. Functional Medicine recognizes that no part of the body works in isolation, it is all connected. Overall patient health is the result of multiple influences including, genetics, epigenetics, personal and environmental life history.

About the Practice:

Through detailed and expert analysis of advanced labs and life history, we work to understand what’s going on, how to address the root causes of patient’s health issues and create an individual health plan. The Practice utilizes carefully vetted and selective labs to help analyze and understand patient’s overall health.

Job Responsibilities

The individual hired will be responsible for two categories of the practice membership: (1) Holistic Primary Care and (2) Lower Level Functional Medicine

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Training Program
• Family Medicine Certification
• Autonomous Virginia FNP license
• 2 years’ experience working in a Primary Care or Functional Medicine setting

Working Hours

Office Hours are Monday-Friday 9am – 5pm (with one hour for lunch)

Skills

(1) Previous training or experience in Functional and/or Integrative medicine preferred
(2) Passion for learning Functional & Integrative medicine, reading research and optimizing patients’ health
(3) The ability to identify alternative solutions when problem solving.
(4) Great communication skills and enjoys working with people.
(5) Loves working collaboratively to support patients’ health, and advance how we practice.
