Job Description
An El Cajon, California based client is seeking an exceptional Nurse Practitioner to provide compassionate patient care. An ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and works well in an interdisciplinary team. This clinic is a fast-paced environment and providers are responsible for medical services in a PACE facility. Applicants should have two years of experience as an NP to apply.
Required Qualifications
- CA medical license as NP
- CA DEA certificate before start date
- Board certified
- CPR certification
- Demonstrated experience in community clinic and/or Managed Care System
- Experience working with the elderly
- 2 years of experience
- Spanish fluency (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of the elderly
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including preventative care and follow up
- Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services
- Chart review and document all patient encounters efficiently and according to organization policy and JCAHO standards
- Coordinates the preparation of reports and written documentation including medical records, as required by the department clinic, state and federal agencies
- Supervises Nurses and assistants in examining room and may serve as preceptor for team members
