OPEN POSITION:
Nurse Practitioner - Endocrinology



SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- 40 Hours per Week
- No On-Call
- No Nights
- No Weekends


OFFICE HOURS:
- Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm
- Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Closed Weekends + Holidays


COMPENSATION:
- $130,000 to $150,000 Base Salary, dependent upon experience

Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner provides medical services in collaboration with endocrinology physicians.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

- review patients’ histories, reports, and examination results
- perform physical examinations
- order and interpret diagnostic tests to determine diagnoses
- design individualized treatment plans
- evaluate and diagnose patients with a variety of hormonal diseases and conditions
- provide appropriate treatment and patient care for hormonal diseases and conditions
- provide comprehensive cost-effective diabetes care with available support of CDEs/RDs
- recommend suitable management for patients, including preventive healthcare
- provide relationship-centered care, taking into account psychosocial and physical needs
- educate patients in regard to endocrine condition prevention and maintenance
- prescribe medication as needed
- collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care for patients
- attend staff educational programs and meetings

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon types of appointments scheduled.

All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.

The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.

This position has no weekends, no evenings, and no on-call.


REQUIREMENTS:
- New York NP license
- DEA
- 1+ year of endocrinology experience
