An experienced Diabetes & Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is sought to join a practice in the San Antonio area. This individual will function independently to assess, diagnose, and treat or recommend courses of treatment for adult diseases, with particular emphasis on disorders of the endocrine system and metabolism. This is a well-supported position, partnering with Primary Care Physicians, Clinical Pharmacist, Care Navigators and RNs in a collaborative care model. Providers are expected to rotate among four clinic locations, caring for retired San Antonio Fire, Police, and other First Responders.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in nursing or Bachelors/Masters Physician Assistant Studies
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
  • Current license to practice in the state of Texas, along with a DEA. Compact will be considered.
  • Minimum two (2) years hands-on experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by time of start.
  • Certified Diabetes Educator preferred.
