- Other Details: The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. Emergency Department coverage is needed for an NP or PA to work blocks of shifts in April and May, with an orientation required the day prior. Shifts are from 12 PM to 10 PM on April 4, 7-8, and 23-27, as well as May 10-13 and 19-23, with potential for ongoing coverage. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, with an average of 36 patients seen per day (total, not by the APP alone) and approximately three admissions per shift. Support staff includes ED physicians and ED RNs, with Meditech as the EMR system. Credentialing takes about 30 days, with temp privileges available if needed. Travel and lodging may be provided if available.

Job Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with ED physicians and RNs to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
- Perform necessary procedures within scope of practice and support patient admissions as needed.
- Document patient encounters accurately using Meditech EMR.
- Participate in orientation prior to the first scheduled shift.
Qualifications
- Experience in emergency medicine preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with ED physicians and nursing staff.
- Licensed in Michigan
