StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with one of the larger healthcare companies in the state of Louisiana to assist them in recruiting an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their dynamic Emergency Department team at a high-volume, 40-bed emergency facility that serves as the region’s largest family-centered medical complex. This role offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art emergency department equipped with advanced imaging technology, specialized treatment areas, and a dedicated team of emergency medicine professionals.

- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients across a wide range of acute and non-acute conditions
- Work collaboratively with board-certified emergency physicians, internal medicine, and family medicine providers to assess, diagnose, and treat patients
- Perform patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and coordinate follow-up care
- Manage critical care, mental health cases, and fast-track non-critical patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Utilize McKesson EMR for documentation and patient tracking
- Participate in a variety of shift schedules, ensuring consistent APP coverage ranging from 55-69 hours per day
- Board Certified NP/PA, with active license and prescriptive authority in the State of Louisiana required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong ability to work in a high-volume emergency setting with approximately 60,000 annual visits
- Ability to function autonomously while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and support staff
- Work in a newly renovated, 40-bed emergency department equipped with on-site CT and digital x-ray technology
- Be part of a supportive and well-resourced team, including 30 hours of daily scribe support
- Flexible scheduling with a mix of 10, 11, and 12-hour shifts
