OPEN POSITION:
Family Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care


FULL-TIME OPTION:
- 8 Shifts (80 Hours) per Pay Period
- 3 Weekdays per Week
- Every Other Saturday + Sunday (consecutive days)
- 9:00am to 8:00pm


PART-TIME OPTION:
- Every Other Saturday + Sunday (consecutive days)
- Option to Pick Up Extra Shifts
- 9:00am to 8:00pm


FULL-TIME COMPENSATION:
- $120,000 to $156,000 Base Salary, dependent on experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
This urgent care clinic provides expanded medical care - including limited primary care services - to the Falls Church community. Its owner-operator is a dedicated physician who, together with a team of skilled healthcare professionals, provides services in a comforting, efficient environment. The organization operates multiple urgent care centers in Virginia, and the Falls Church location opened in 2020.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Part-time providers work every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) and have the option to pick up extra weekday shifts when available.

Full-time providers work three (3) days every week + every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) for 8 shifts per pay period. To ensure an average of 40 hours per week, one shift is adjusted to be a half-day for a total of 80 hours per pay period.

Part-time providers work exclusively in urgent care. Full-time providers work the majority of their days in urgent care with one (1) weekday per week spent with primary care patients.

On average during an 11-hour urgent care shift, a provider will treat 20 to 30 patients.

On average during an 11-hour primary care shift, a provider will treat 15 to 20 patients.

This is an all-ages position and visits are supported by a dedicated clinical assistant to room, prep, and assist as needed.

Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- obtaining history of present illness
- performing physical examination
- ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiologic testing
- prescribing medications
- stabilizing patients with high acuity medical issues

Urgent care procedures include, but are not limited to:

- venipuncture
- peripheral line placement
- dressing changes
- wound management
- application of splints
- incision and drainage of simple abscesses
- removal of foreign bodies
- suturing of simple wounds or lacerations
- removal of sutures or staples

The clinic uses an EHR.

This position is open to new graduates with relevant RN backgrounds. All necessary training will be provided.


REQUIREMENTS:
- Virginia NP license
- DEA
- FNP certification
- previous experience preferred
- backgrounds in urgent care, ER, ICU, and similar areas preferred
- new graduates are welcome to apply
