Responsibilities
Our progressive multi-hospital Critical Care Service is growing and looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to expand our services.
Shifts are primarily nights, 7:00pm - 7:00am, with some 7:00am-7:00pm days shifts on weekends and holidays. 12-Hour Shifts. Locations can vary at our Pierce and King County Hospitals.
The impact of the service and desire to extend it's coverage has led to the creation of the VMFH Critical Care APP Fellowship Program. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the fellows and participate in the fellowship program.
About our team:
A unique four-hospital Critical Care Service staffed with Board Certified physicians and a growing cadre of APP’s, backed by an advanced virtual ICU (VICU). The hospital system is composed of three community hospitals and a tertiary-care hospital with Cardiothoracic Surgery and Neurosurgery Services as well as a Level 2 Trauma Center.
In addition to experienced Critical Care nurses at the bedside and a full complement of bedside support staff, we have a mature VICU service with real-time audiovisual and telemetry monitoring. There is daytime in-hospital provider coverage, and night coverage with a physician in the VICU and APP’s providing bedside patient care, including consultations, and invasive procedures..
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements:
Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
At least two years Advanced Practitioner experience in inpatient care, preferably in a Critical Care.
Experience with ventilator management, central venous and arterial line placement, intubation and Point of Care Ultrasound preferred.
Washington license, ACLS, and DEA licensing required at the time of starting work,
Fundamentals of Critical Care Support and Palliative Academy in the first year of employment.
Pay Range
$66.10 - $74.52
