Emergency Department

  • Trauma Designation: Level II
  • ED Volume: 49,000
  • ED Beds: 54 all-private treatment rooms
  • Staffing Model:
    • 46 hours per day of physician coverage
    • 40 hours per day of APP coverage
    • 24 hours per day of pediatric physician coverage
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Renovations are underway for a brand new, state-of-the-art ED
  • Fully equipped with the newest advanced airway equipment for rapid resuscitation, ultrasound machines, on-site CT scanning, and separate entrances to receive patients from ground transport or rooftop helipad
  • Offers private family rooms, 24-hour concierge service for patient families, on-campus pagers for visitors and many other services geared to increasing patient satisfaction
  • Pediatric Center is a separate, child-friendly area with play areas, full-time pediatric emergency physicians and pediatric trained nurses
