Locums – Urbana, Illinois, NP/PA Emergency Medicine Opening
Clinical Role:

  • ASAP – Ongoing Need
  • Schedule: 7 days/week. Night shift is preferred--7p-6a; other shifts TBD of 8a-8p, 10a-10p, 11a-11p, 1p-1a may be possible
  • # of Physicians in Department: Daily 10 on rotating shifts, 2 overnight docs (total 46)
  • Patient Population Mix: Even mix of peds, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Support Staff: Large staff of nurses and techs
  • Reason for Locum need: Increasing patient volume with need to fill open shifts while actively recruiting open APP position
  • Procedures Required: Laceration repair, incision and drainage, joint and fracture reduction, wound care, FB removal, splinting, joint aspiration, etc.
  • 489 Beds in facility
  • Level I Trauma Center
  • EMR: Epic
  • ACLS, PALS, BLS Required
  • Active Illinois license and national certification (PA or NP), CSR/DEA
  • APRN or PA-C - required
