We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our client’s Emergency Room (ER) team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality and efficient emergency care, assessing and treating patients with a diverse range of medical conditions and emergencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct rapid and thorough assessments of patients presenting to the Emergency Room.
  • Triage patients based on the severity of their conditions and prioritize care accordingly.
  • Provide prompt and effective care to patients with acute medical conditions, trauma, injuries, and emergencies.
  • Perform or assist in medical procedures, interventions, and resuscitations as required.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, considering the unique needs and conditions of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Perform or assist in emergency procedures, including intubation, central line placement, and other critical interventions.
  • Manage and stabilize critically ill patients in collaboration with emergency physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records, documenting patient assessments, treatments, and responses.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  • Collaborate with emergency physicians, nurses, and other staff to provide seamless and coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and post-emergency care.
  • Provide counseling on preventive measures and follow-up care.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NY state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Emergency Room/Urgent Care experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in emergency procedures and trauma care.
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills to make rapid and accurate decisions in emergency situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.


Please note- The annual base salary range is $130k to $165k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
