Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Urgent Care/ED to join our department in Iron Mountain, Michigan. We are looking for a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision/collaboration of a licensed physician. This individual will work within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.

The Iron Mountain Emergency Department was recently renovated in 2021 and is the only ED in a large mile radius seeing just under 20K patients per year.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Required Education: Master’s degree nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Preferred/Optional: None

EXPERIENCE

Preferred/Optional: Two years nursing experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required

  • Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse License
  • Nurse Practitioner Certification awarded by a national certifying body.
  • Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber Certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.
  • Physician Assistant

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
