A north-central Wisconsin private surgical practice that has a patient draw from a 13-county region throughout Northcentral Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan is currently looking for a Trauma / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. The NP or PA will assume a primary provider role in the care of patients in a hospital setting.

We offer a comprehensive 6–12 month onboarding and mentorship program to ensure you're set up for success. Work alongside experienced trauma surgeons, advanced practice providers, and critical care specialists as you develop your clinical expertise in a high-acuity environment.

Onboarding & Training Details:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
  • Includes: Holiday and weekend rotation
  • Timeline: Training through November
  • Focus Areas:
    • Initial assessment and stabilization of trauma patients
    • Trauma resuscitation protocols
    • Surgical co-management with trauma surgeons
    • ICU step-down and recovery care
    • Emergency and rapid response procedures

After Onboarding:

  • Shift Assignment: Tailored based on trauma department needs and your preferences (night, weekend, and rotating shifts may be available)

Apply if you Have…

  • An Active and Unencumbered Nurse Practitioner License in the state of Wisconsin
  • A Masters Degree in Science, Nursing
  • Acute Care Surgery or Trauma Surgery experience (preferred)
  • National certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and / or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (preferred)
  • Experience with Epic Software (preferred)

Working Hours

Schedule: 2 then 3 – 12 hour shifts (11am – 7 pm) M-F and  2 – 12 hour shifts (7am-7pm) every other weekend
