Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care to join our team at a Level III Trauma Center. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and comfort while delivering advanced medical interventions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing, with experience in medication administration, basic life support, and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics and individuals with disabilities.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) and perform procedures as a Nurse Practitioner in the Critical Care Unit.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Assist in the administration of dermal fillers and injections as needed.
Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Requirements

Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Jersey.
Experience working in a critical care environment, preferably within a Trauma Center.
Proficiency in medication administration and basic life support (BLS).
Familiarity with geriatric care practices and toddler care is preferred.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a high level of patient care.
