A smaller community hospital located just outside of Decatur, Illinois is seeking a full-time, permanent Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Critical Care to join their team!

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Critical Care Job Description:

  • Full-time, travel opportunity
  • Night shift
  • 5 shifts on, 10 shifts off

  • Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Critical Care Qualifications:

  • Current Certification as APRN or Physician’s Assistant
  • Current Basic Life Support certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Certification as an acute care nurse practitioner preferred
  • Two years of critical care patient management experience
