Shift Details:

• 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Rotating (Day & Night shifts; primarily looking for night shifts)
• Full-time position, rotating with weekends

Work Details:

• Support Staff: Lead APRNs, APRN Director
• Patients per Day: 6-10 patients
• Patient Population/Age: Providing care to infants, children, and families for the management of critical illnesses.
• Department Description: Our 40-bed MSICU cares for medical and surgical patients ranging from newborn to early adult.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner
Hospital Bed Size: 46 beds (expanding to 55 beds)

Skills Required:

• Front-line care and coordination of complex, critically ill patients in the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) including assessment, diagnosis, pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, bedside procedures, and family-centered care of patients and their families.
• Consulting and collaborating with acute care providers and interdisciplinary team members on all assigned inpatients during daily rounds.
• Conducting patient assessments, medical histories, physical exams, and diagnosing health and developmental problems.
• Managing therapeutic regimens for patients with both acute and chronic diseases according to approved guidelines.

• Board Certification: Yes, Pediatric
• License Required: Yes, State of MA
• Certifications: BLS, PALS
• DEA: Yes
• Minimum Experience Required: A minimum of 3 years inpatient pediatric experience, ICU experience is a must. 2 years Pediatric NP experience.
