We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Cardiology to provide locum tenens coverage. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, including supervision for cardiac stress tests and cardiac device checks. The provider must be comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise echo/nuclear exercise stress tests and administer dobutamine stress tests.
- Conduct in-office cardiac device checks and stress tests with cardiac device technicians.
- Provide patient evaluations and management for cardiology-related conditions.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and support staff in an outpatient/inpatient setting.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR.
- No admissions or overnight call responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct in-office cardiac device checks and stress tests with cardiac device technicians.
Provide patient evaluations and management for cardiology-related conditions.
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and support staff in an outpatient/inpatient setting.
Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR.

Qualifications
Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS.
Board Certification: Required in the specialty.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in cardiology preferred.
Must be comfortable supervising advanced diagnostic tests.
Working Hours
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch).
No Overtime Approved: Documentation time is factored into the 8-hour shift.
No Call or Weekend Coverage Required.
Skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a healthcare team.
Experience in supervising stress tests and cardiac device assessments.
Proficiency in Epic EMR documentation.
