Job Responsibilities

Responsible for providing health care to patients by performing assessment including ordering and interpreting diagnostic services, physical exams, assessment of medical records, psychosocial assessments and educational needs according to age specifics. Provides therapeutic treatment according to age specific therapies within the scope of practice of the PNP. Collaborates with physicians according to the unit specific policy and procedure.

Qualifications

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Master's in Nursing, Certification in area of practice by nationally recognized certifying agency and two to three years of previous work related experience required. Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey and certification to practice as an APN (Advanced Practice Nurse) by the New Jersey Board of Nursing required. Successful completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications such as BLS, PALS, NRP, ACLS, TNCC, TCAR within one year of hire. Any Registered Nurse administering
