We are hiring an experienced cardiac critical care intensivist nurse practitioner or physician assistant for a prestigious hospital in Baltimore, Maryland! Our group is truly a dynamic group whom works well with another, provides top notch patient care and are continuing to expand!

The Cardiac critical care team is a continuous, on-site service with expected work schedule of 3-4 days per week with no resident program. This is a day shift position with only 1-2 nights every 3-4 weeks! Our APPs are involved in all aspects of patient management with a significant degree of autonomy in the Cardiac ICU program that supports Cardiac Surgeons and Cardiologist including: This is a cardiac ICU position that supports Cardiac Surgeons and Cardiologists. For cardiac surgery, this includes coverage for CABG/Valve patients, no VADs/Transplants, and there is no CVOR time available. For cardiology, coverage includes Acute MI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, heart blocks, and arrhythmias. Performs high-quality clinical practices and effective patient management, under the supervision of the cardiac intensivist, in accordance with state regulations.-

Demonstrates technical expertise by assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.- Demonstrate teamwork by communicating effectively and working cooperatively with all members of the health care team.- Develop and implement care plans the includes initiating and prescribing medications.- Active BLS/ACLS certifications.

Requirements:-

Active NCCPA certification (for PA);

Active AANC or AANP certification (for NP)

Maryland CDS license and DEA license

Minimum two years of experience in perioperative management of cardiac surgery patients- Minimum two years in experience with intensive care unit patients

Procedures: arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes
